Hovet Fashion Studio is hiring an Apparel Production Coordinator Assistant - This position has been filled


OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate will be extremely detail oriented, enthusiastic, hardworking and zealous about the fashion design and apparel production process. They will work closely with the design/production team, principal and clients to provide project support.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the production team with overseeing large scale design projects through completion
  • Request quotes, pricing and samples from vendors.
  • Create proposals, estimates, and templates
  • Assist in preparing client presentations for meetings
  • Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and provide general support of team
  • Organize inventory
  • Create and maintain seasonal boards and digital versions and keep boards updated after meetings and fittings.
  • Create and edit sketches and tech packs
  • Attending fittings when necessary
  • Manage and organize trims/labels/combo fabrics
  • Run errands to manufacturing vendors
  • Other duties, projects and tasks as assigned by management
  • Light cleaning and maintenance of the studio/ showroom.

WHAT WE’D LIKE TO SEE
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fashion Design or other relevant degree
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a flexible and often-changing work environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Past experience working for a fashion design business is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and self-starter
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to provide examples of technical drawings and tech packs
  • Must have technical knowledge pattern making and fabrics
  • Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently
  • Preferably has a vehicle, insurance, and a clean driving record.

JOB TYPE Part-time - Up to 10 hours per week (mix of in-person and remote work)
Hours are flexible depending on availability and scheduling needs

PAY $16/hour

EXPERIENCE 1-2 years in Fashion Design/Production

EDUCATION Bachelor's degree
